An “absent” father is a common theme in a Filipino household. But can a father who provides financial support without physical presence still be considered an “absent” parent? “Buddy,” starring Michael de Mesa, explores this question.  The film follows Jojo, played by de Mesa, a retired seaman who spent decades working at sea to provide
